This is also ā€œdangerousā€ when dealing with young athletes too. The truth about physical training sessions outside of sports training is simple. Itā€™s main purpose is to meet the physical demands (energy system and force expression) of the sport. How simple movements are being expressed matters a lot and canā€™t be further from the truth. If you are lifting heavy with poor control of the body, your power will be like a Machine Gun, leaking all over when you do your sport. If you are a Sniper, each movement you create will be maximised through your jump, throw and sprint. Remember, strengthen movement quality outside of sports and train sports specific skill during sports training session. There are many drills that can achieve the sense of this position and this is our choice of drill. Apart from having a good hip position, itā€™s largely influenced by how you move your lower limbs and repositioning it onto the ground. Even a tiny mistake will affect this position.
