At MaxForm, we train movements 💪

While this very relatable to racquet sports due to its close resemblance and pattern of force application, but this is also applicable to acceleration.

Why? Because running is also a highly rotational based movement and the pattern of force application is similar to this exercise above!

WHY IT’S IMPORTANT! When it comes to sprint tra WHY IT’S IMPORTANT!

When it comes to sprint training (one type of speed), we apply similar drills (especially to our kids and youth athletes). WHY?

Differences (depends on sports):

- Some emphasize more on the impulse that they can produce (power within a short time)

- Some emphasize on frequency (repeated power production)

- Some emphasize on stride length (force application)

Similar (Outcome):

- Become more powerful and have better coordination within their body.

- More a more explosive and stronger athlete

- More resilient to lower limb injury

At the end of the day, it’s to Understand sprinting and not to become a sprinter, but a better athlete for their sport 💪

So if you want to elevate your performance, consider proper speed training. Otherwise, remain the same 😎

@ehitscurtis did some magic at the recent World Ma @ehitscurtis did some magic at the recent World Masters Games 2025! He came home with a season best of 11.61s (+1.5) in the M40 category (Age 41) and ranked 6 💪

With a PB of 11.2s back in his early 20s, he decided to give his love for sprints another chance 3 years ago. Starting again isn’t easy, yet he managed to bring his times down to 12.1s in late 2024. However, that wasn’t enough and he has bigger goals.

That’s when we started working together in Feb 2025 with a structured plan base on his lifestyle and training needs. 3 months in, this happened! 11.61s 💪

Never too late to start again and more importantly, start properly and age well!
