Speed is a skill. And skills can be trained. For Speed is a skill. And skills can be trained.

For kids aged 8–11, this is the window where movement is learned fastest — and what they build now becomes the foundation everything else sits on.

That starts with learning how to run. Proper mechanics, posture, arm action, how to put force into the ground. Straight-line speed is the base.

But games aren’t run in straight lines. So we also teach them how to decelerate under control, plant, cut, and re-accelerate out of it — because the athlete who can stop and change direction fast is the one who gets there first.

Run properly. Slow down properly. Change direction properly. Those are the fundamentals — and they carry into every sport your child plays.

Led by expert coaches who know how to build young athletes the right way.

Want to be faster? Join our Speed Classes and Track & Field Classes (ages 8–11).

Strong legs build better athletes. 💪⚡ Lower-limb Strong legs build better athletes. 💪⚡

Lower-limb strength and power are fundamental to almost every sport — sprinting, jumping, changing direction, accelerating, decelerating and even controlling the body under pressure.

Take the Standing Broad Jump as an example.

It may look like a simple test of “how far you can jump”, but there’s actually a lot to learn: how to load, coordinate the arms and hips, produce force, project the body forward and land with control.

That’s why progressive learning matters.

Rather than simply asking an athlete to “jump further”, good coaching breaks the movement down, teaches the fundamentals, progressively increases the challenge and provides the right regressions or progressions along the way.

When athletes learn these fundamental movement and strength qualities properly, they build a physical foundation that can transfer across many different sports and movements.

At MaxForm, we believe in developing athletes from the ground up — teaching them how to move, how to produce force and how to apply it.

With the right coaching and progression, athletes can learn faster, move better and develop stronger foundations for sport.

Build the foundation. Develop the athlete.
