Do you want to be a “sniper” or “machine gun”?

✅Sniper = Precise and deadly. One shot, one kill

❌Machine Gun = Spray and Pray

With social media and all the “new information” online, we often fall into the trap of “what’s Better and Sports Specific for my sport?”. This is also “dangerous” when dealing with young athletes too.

The truth about physical training sessions outside of sports training is simple. It’s main purpose is to meet the physical demands (energy system and force expression) of the sport.

How simple movements are being expressed matters a lot and can’t be further from the truth. If you are lifting heavy with poor control of the body, your power will be like a Machine Gun, leaking all over when you do your sport.

If you are a Sniper, each movement you create will be maximised through your jump, throw and sprint.

Remember, strengthen movement quality outside of sports and train sports specific skill during sports training session. Don’t confuse both 😎

Very much like sprinting, the human body expresses Very much like sprinting, the human body expresses force through rotational movement! If you’re in a sport that requires batting, throwing etc, additional rotational work will enhance those qualities.

It’s not the “choice of exercise” that’s best for a sport. Instead, train the QUALITIES that are required and STIMULATE the body through them.

If you want to elevate your sporting performance, train the system and the performance will follow 💪

Speed is an outcome of a couple of key elements an Speed is an outcome of a couple of key elements and POSITION of the hip is a big differentiator from poor VS good running form.

There are many drills that can achieve the sense of this position and this is our choice of drill.

Apart from having a good hip position, it’s largely influenced by how you move your lower limbs and repositioning it onto the ground. Even a tiny mistake will affect this position. In short, it’s not a matter of “the best” drill, but a matter of “How” to execute it.
